D&D Wiki uses the copyright laws of the United States of America with regard to all content having the copyright adhere with the GNU Free Documentation License 1.3 in all respects. This is true unless, or possibly the case when (1) otherwise marked, such as a marking showing the use of the Open Game License v1.0a, (2) a known proven identity discussed with and shown to Green Dragon (with adherence to Article 15 Section 3 of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works), or (3) otherwise decided with Green Dragon.

Why the GNU Free Documentation License 1.3?

D&D Wiki is based on everyone's ideas, which are here to be freely taken and used by anyone. With this in mind, we have chosen to use the GNU Free Documentation License 1.3 for all of the content on this website.

The GNU Free Documentation License 1.3

The GNU Free Documentation License is a form of copyleft intended for use on a manual, textbook or other document to assure everyone the effective freedom to copy and redistribute it, with or without modifications, either commercially or noncommercially.

Relicensing under the Creative Commons Attributed Noncommercial Share Alike license is not possible. You may, of course, choose the Open Game License v1.0a, Creative Commons Attributed Noncommercial Share Alike, and others at a pages creation. MMCs were only eligible for relicensing if (1) had no cover texts or invariant sections, and (2) were thus incorporated prior to November 1, 2008. If this was true then the operator of an MMC Site may republish an MMC contained in the site under CC-BY-SA on the same site at any time before August 1, 2009.
